How the Import Works

Connecting your broker takes a few minutes and imports your full trade history in one batch. Log in at journal.financialtechwiz.com, go to the Trades tab, click Import from Broker, and select your broker from the list. You will log in with your broker credentials through a secure connection, then click Sync Trades to pull your history. You can select a specific date range if you want to limit the import.

The import is a one-time batch pull, not an ongoing sync. Your credentials are never stored directly by the journal. For new trades going forward, you can log them manually in the journal or return to the Trades tab and run a new import with a date range covering your recent activity. If you want a clean full re-import at any time, go to Settings, clear your trade data, and run the import again.

If you trade across multiple brokers or want to keep accounts separate, you can create multiple accounts inside the Financial Tech Wiz Trading Journal, one per broker or account type. Each journal account maintains its own trade history and analytics independently. For a broader look at how the journal compares to other platforms, see the best trading journals guide.
