NET: Cloudflare, Inc.

  • Daily Pivot breakout on September 9, 2026: The move traces back to the OpenAI Daybreak partnership first announced September 3, which caught a second wind today as Cloudflare’s new Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation service, part of Cloudflare Managed Defense, runs on OpenAI’s Daybreak models for AI-powered, edge-deployed cybersecurity. NET gapped from $295 at the open to as high as $317.55 on 4.8 million shares, roughly 2.5 times its prior week average, against a broader session of AI-driven, oil-price-fueled market rotation.
  • Bull case: This is a real product and revenue catalyst, not just headline noise. Cloudflare is pushing into AI-native cybersecurity, one of the fastest-growing categories of enterprise spend, and its new FedRAMP High certification (received August 10) opens up federal customers that were off-limits before. Revenue growth has been climbing for four straight quarters now, from 31% up to 36% year over year, and Wall Street’s price targets are clustering around $394 to $400.
  • Bear case: The valuation leaves almost no margin for error, roughly 40 times trailing sales on $2.5 billion of revenue, and analysts are already penciling in slower growth, back into the 30% range, for the next two quarters. It’s also worth noting that Cloudflare’s CEO, president, and CFO have all been selling shares lately, including a sale by President Michelle Zatlyn just yesterday. On top of that, the $2.175 billion convertible note adds future dilution risk against a GAAP deficit already above $1.2 billion.

NOK: Nokia Corporation

  • Daily Pivot breakout on September 9, 2026: The catalyst traces to Nokia’s September 8 “Mobile Core Early Access” launch, a live hosted testing environment letting telecom operators trial Nokia’s AI-native 5G core before deployment, which drove a roughly 4% premarket gap that day on 114.1 million shares. NOK carried that strength into today’s session, up about 1% on 86.7 million shares, and cleared the Daily Pivot breakout trigger on September 9.
  • Bull case: Fabrinet’s recent earnings named Nokia as one of its biggest customers, right alongside Nvidia, Cisco, and Amazon, which ties Nokia’s optical and IP gear directly to real hyperscaler AI data center build-outs happening right now. Earnings are accelerating fast too, up 81% year over year in Q1 2026 and 84% in Q2, as products like Mobile Core Early Access push the company toward software and recurring revenue. Private wireless 5G adds another growth lever on top of that.
  • Bear case: This stock ran up 117% from March to June 2026, then crashed 50% in eight weeks, so today’s bounce is happening inside a wall of overhead resistance between $13 and $16.85. The fundamentals haven’t caught up either: revenue growth has slowed for four straight quarters, from 18.7% down to 8.6% year over year, operating margin went negative in Q2, and Nokia is in the middle of a near-total exit from China. With margins this thin, one bad quarter could wipe out months of gains.

HPQ: HP Inc.

  • Daily Pivot breakout on September 9, 2026: The real breakout event was the August 26 earnings beat, EPS of $0.83 versus $0.68 expected, revenue of $15.7 billion versus $14.4 billion expected, and raised FY2026 guidance to $3.19 to $3.29. HPQ then consolidated in the $29.63 to $32.64 range before today’s move, up 3.9% on 15.4 million shares, reclaimed the $32 level with no fresh company-specific news.
  • Bull case: That guidance raise puts HP’s forward P/E near just 10 times earnings, which is cheap for a company whose revenue growth has been accelerating for four straight quarters, from 4.2% up to 12.5% year over year. AI PCs are expected to make up roughly half of HP’s shipments by the end of the fiscal year, and most corporate PC fleets haven’t even started their refresh cycle yet. The company also generated $1.5 billion in free cash flow in a single quarter.
  • Bear case: HP’s own CFO has warned Q4 revenue will come in below seasonal norms because DRAM and NAND costs are rising, and gross margin has already slipped from 20.5% to 18.8% year over year. The company also doesn’t have a permanent CEO right now, during what’s supposed to be a critical AI PC transition. Most of Wall Street isn’t buying the rally either: Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Barclays are all Underweight or Sell, with price targets of $21, $19, and $23, even after the stock is already up roughly 70% off its April lows.

None of this is a recommendation, just what showed up on the scan and why it caught my eye. If you’re curious how Daily Pivot breakouts have performed historically, the backtest results are public on the Financial Tech Wiz Trading Journal leaderboard.
